The Yadkin Valley gained national recognition In 2003, when the ATF approved the appellation allowing winemakers to bottle wines with a label indicating that the wine came from the Yadkin Valley. Almost 20 years later, the Yadkin Valley is home to 47 wineries and too many annual wine festivals to name.
